Waterford United and Limerick played out a scoreless draw in Jackman Park last night.

The Blues finished the game with only ten players as central defender Seamus Long was sent off four minutes from full time.

Waterford manager Stephen Henderson admitted afterwards that the playing surface at Jackman Park was very poor and couldn't understand how the bare pitch was passed fit for play.

The result means the Blues are six points behind leaders Derry City at the top of the table but are still three points clear of the chasing pack in second spot.
