Munster Hurling Final

Waterford 2-15 Cork 2-15

Waterford and Cork must meet again next Saturday as the sides finished level yesterday after a pulsating second half in Thurles.

A dour opening half saw Waterford lead 0-7 to 0-6 as Shane O'Sullivan, John Mullane and Eoin Kelly were prominent for Waterford.

The Deise stretched four points clear at the beginning of the second half as John Mullane, Kevin Moran and Eoin Kelly were all on target.

The game burst to life with two quick fire goals for Cork from Aisake O'Hailpin and Ben O'Connor.

Waterford though kept plugging away and were rewarded when Eoin Kelly drilled home a terrific goal from all of 20 yards entering the closing 10 minutes.

Cork managed to keep a few points lead intact until one last raid yielded a 21 yard free for Waterford.

Eoin Kelly's piledriver rebounded and was finished to the net by the evergreen Tony Browne to tie the game deep in stoppage time.

It means the teams will meet again on Saturday night in Thurles at 7 o'clock.

WLR FM will broadcast  the Munster final final replay.
