All Ireland Minor Hurling Quarter Final
Galway 1-15 Waterford 2-8
Waterford minor hurlers bowed of this year's championship as they were beaten by the reigning all Ireland holders Galway by four points at Croke Park yesterday.
Waterford were off the pace in the opening half as Johnathon Glynn's goal gave Galway a sizable advantage by half time as they led 1-9 to 0-5.
However Jake Dillon goaled within two minutes of the restart and the De La Salle forwrad netted midway through the second half as Waterford reduced their arrears entering the closing quarter.
However Galway managed to close out the game with late scores to set up a semi-final appearance with Kilkenny on August 8th.
